Introduced in 1994, the F650 is a single cyclinder trail bike. Originally based on the the 650cc Austrian Rotax engine. It is a lightweight, all-rounder, although biased towards the roads, & more comfortable on bumpy B-roads & mild tracks & trails than serious off road. Good value.

I owned a 1994 F650 Funduro & found it smooth for a thumper (because it has a balancer shaft), torquey, pretty quick & simple to work on. However, the front wheel turns in quickly, probably due to it being a smaller diameter, or perhaps because of the high raking of the forks. Lots of after market parts available. The adjustable rear suspension was handy too.

Chris Scott took a Funduro to Africa & found it insufficiently torquey for sand & serious offroad, however, very good for everything else.
